Our Fees Are Highly Competitive
We know with the cost of living crisis that funds are scarce. We do our utmost to ensure our costs are affordable. Wherever possible we give a clear fixed rate quote, no hidden extras, no surprises We believe in transparency, accuracy and cost effectiveness as the key to a good working relationship with our private clients
As part of our commitment to transparency, we would like to outline our private fees for criminal defence services. Please note that these fees may vary depending on the complexity of your case. We will always discuss them in advance
Initial Consultation. We provide a free initial consultation, usually by phone, to discuss your case, your options and to explore what you want and how to fund it.
Fixed Fees
For most types of cases, we can offer fixed fees. This means that we will agree on a set fee for the entire case, regardless of the amount of time spent on it. Fixed fees can provide you with greater certainty and peace of mind. The only extras will be if we need to instruct an expert or a barrister, but we will advise you of these in advance if they are likely in your case. Vat at 20% will be added
Our standard fees in the Worcestershire Magistrates courts are-
Guilty plea and sentence at one hearing | £400 plus VAT |

A full day trial | £900 plus VAT | A half day trial | £750 plus VAT |
Additional hearings eg Bail breaches , mentions, or adjournments for sentence £140
Hourly rate if you prefer or in a suitable case £247 plus vat
In the Crown Court we are always happy to give you an individualised estimate, but there is no standard rate as cases can vary so much in their complexity

Defence Costs Orders
If you win your case then the court will usually order that some of your legal costs should be repaid out of central funds. Please be aware that this will only be a percentage of what you have paid, following government cuts.
Fixes Fees for Motoring
Legal aid is rarely available for motoring cases, even though your livelihood can be at stake. If your case does not qualify then we can offer competitive private rates. We believe in total clarity about our fees, and will usually give a fixed price
