Qualified in 1993 and as a Higher Courts Advocate in 2012.
Sarah has been a specialist defence solicitor throughout her career. She spent the first ten years in London, handling a heavyweight caseload including serious City fraud and very large drug importations. In Worcester she has been involved with three murder trials in the last two years alone. She deals with a large number of sexual offences. She believes in meticulous preparation. Her particular interests are in serious crime, sexual offences and mental health.
She is a committed member of the Duty scheme for the police station and courts locally, and takes pride in attending almost all police interviews in person, whatever the hour. Cases can be won or lost at the very beginning…
Sarah, with Mark Lister who has now retired, established Lister Brady as a specialist crime defence firm in 2005, and the firm has grown in numbers strength and repute since, developing a substantial following.
Beyond the court room Sarah is a keen cyclist and spent some of last summer cycling from Berlin to Copenhagen.

With over 22 years’ experience Mark has represented clients across the entire criminal and motoring spectrum at the police station, Magistrates’ Court and the Crown Court. He is well respected as an advocate in all our local courts.
His particular interests include Crown Court advocacy and driving offences. A lover of his old TVR Chimaera, he recognises that the loss of driving licence can be catastrophic for many people and does his utmost to help where possible.
Away from the court Mark relaxes with his family and, when the demands of work allow, sets sail around the Welsh/Irish coastline.

Belinda is a prominent and well known figure in all the Worcestershire courts. She has experience of both sides having spent several years Prosecuting for the Crown Prosecution Service, which gives a real strategic insight now she just defends.
She has also appeared in many prison law adjudications representing the rights of those serving custodial sentences. She has huge advocacy experience at the Magistrates and Crown Court and even, successfully, at the Court of Appeal.
She has represented in serious matters up to and including advocating for a client on a 7 week Crown Court trial on a substantial Conspiracy to supply class A drugs.
To relax Belinda enjoys running, squash and skiing. She is also a keen golfer having recently won the Warwickshire Law Society Golf Competition at Maxstoke Park, Warwickshire.
Qualified in 2006 and as a Higher Courts Advocate in 2012. Sam has worked her entire career in the criminal law arena, more than 30 years.
Sam has dealt with numerous Murder & Manslaughter cases, serious Sexual offences and large scale Drugs Conspiracies including representing a client in a 12 week Crown Court trial involving 14 defendants in a major Drugs Conspiracy.
Sam has successfully applied to have notification requirements removed on a number of occasions.
She believes in offering a high level of support to our clients and their families where necessary.
She has a particular interest in drug cases, violent offences, the Youth Court, and dangerous dog offences.
Outside work her main interests are hiking and cycling, recently completing a 380 kilometre cycle fundraiser from Mount Kenya to Kisumu for a cancer charity.
Siân joined us in 2017 initially as secretary to the four partners and is now the first point of call for clients. She organises the day to day running of the office along with managing diaries. Siân regularly attends the Crown Court to assist Counsel and is a vital go-between for the clients and their barristers. She is in charge of our Crown Court clerking team
Away from the office Siân has recently developed an interest in running and you will now find her pounding the streets of Worcester
Fergus Maxwell is a terrific all round Criminal defence lawyer. He loves nothing more than arguing down at the magistrates court. He takes his cases seriously and is very popular with his loyal clients
He formerly ran Rogers and Co in Kidderminster, working with John Rogers for many years, but came to us in 2024, for less admin – and more hands on law. Now he is out where he belongs, advocating daily in the magistrates and preparing cases for his clients
