Magistrates Court
The Magistrates court is the front line in defending a criminal case. Our advocates are there daily, know the local courts, know the procedures, and have years of experience of presenting cases to the court.
From our point of view there is nothing we enjoy more than the cut and thrust of a magistrates court trial or a legal argument, but we never lose sight of the fact that from the client’s point of view it can be a very difficult and worrying time.
It is your case; we are here to help.
The Youth court is an area in which we focus and specialise: although the procedure is more informal, the law can be complex. Legal aid is always available to any young person facing criminal charges before the Youth court.
Legal aid is often available for cases in the Magistrates court.
